Location. Built in 1906, the Churchill Hotel was originally an apartment house and now serves business travelers and vacationers in Washington, D.C. Local flavor surrounds the hotel four blocks from Dupont Circle, where visitors browse the eclectic shops, restaurants and galleries. Considered the nation's first modern art museum, the Phillip's Collection is just three blocks from the hotel, and one mile away is the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
